Are fabrics/open mesh PTFE are suitable for use in food contact processing?

Answer:

YES. All material coated with PTFE can work directly with food according to EU food regulations. The exceptions are anti-static materials (black).

Answer:

All mechanical joints have higher tensile strength than material from which the conveyor belt is made of.

 How to clean the PTFE coated fabrics and belts?

Mylar® and Teflon™ is a registered trademark and a brand name owned by DuPont.

Answer:

Belts should be clean very carefully, to not affect the PTFE coating. Avoid hard or sharp tools. We recommend cleaning with damp cloth.
